Days can be boring..Nights can be lonely...but here, I take my daily journey as my mind wakes each morning, One day at a time.
I hope you do the same. Do you?

Looking for something

One Day At A Time.

My past 4 days

Hi, it's been 4 days of not writing and so I will tell you all about my past 4 days.

Beginning with Monday the 14th of November,

#WSPD
#WSPDSo, Monday was #WSPD #WorldSexualPurityDay. There was all the hype and voices raised up to that occasion.

I'm a party to that and I stand for sexual purity both for married and unmarried. It is the will of God for our lives.

So, after morning devotion, I had breakfast and had another morning dose of sleep. By mid-day, I headed off to bank and then market.

GT Bank
#GTBank has always made a good impression on me not until I went to their branch in Awka. First of all, I was embarrassed by their security door. I walked in with nothing except my clothes and footwear and that recorded female voice kept making that annoying statement.

The security guys started making side comments like "só gi mazikwa ihe iyi n'ime". That is "You are the only one who knows what you are wearing inside". One of them made bold to ask me directly "Are you wearing any iron or metal inside your dress?" Jeez!!!

Do I have to undress before I can enter your bank? The only reason I went there was because I needed to activate the dormant account I have with them.

I walked into the door a fourth time and grabbed all my belongings from the security guy and stood there until eventually the door closed and I walked into the banking hall.

Then I filled a deposit slip for activating the account and located the customer care desk. A lady gave me an update form to fill which I did.

Then it was time to locate the queue. People were just standing around waiting. No place to sit down. I squeezed myself through to the desk of the person attending to customer issues. For more than an hour, she was constantly on call and none of us standing in front of her has moved.

Your thought is as good as mine. Who then was she attending to? Spirits?

After what seemed like ages, she attended to this lady that kept asking irrelevant questions. When it finally got to my turn, I handed over the form I filled. She asked for my ID card, that was when she instructed the lady who gave me the form to photocopy my ID card.

WHAT!!!!!?????

Another delay? She didn't know I should do that when she gave me the form to fill? I had to adjust for the person behind me while I waited.

She came back with the photocopy and after a few delays, I was able to give her my papers again. Then she stapled them together only to look at the form and tell me that I did not fill the form completely.

What it my fault there? The lady who gave me the form marked the Information I was to fill in. I became tired. I had been standing on queue for 2hours.

I left the queue and out of the bank. I used their ATM machine to transfer the money and that was it. The only problem I have now is that I cannot withdraw the money until I activate my account with #GTB which has to be till further time.

So, I entered market and went back home.

I spent the rest of the day picking oha leaf until dinner and the day ended.

Tuesday 15th November.

The heat of these days is becoming more and more terrible. Night was so hot.

Native soup
Peanut makingAfter morning devotion, I had breakfast and slept again. Around 10am, I gathered strength and began to prepare the things for the soup. By 1pm, I was done with the soup. I cleaned up the kitchen and set up for peanut making.

Yeah! I do home-made peanut. I actually supply them for sale. It's not an easy thing to mix. I will later make a video 🎥 of how I prepare mine and upload here. For now, make due with what you see.

Peanut making
Half-way through my frying, I was pressed and walked into the girls bedroom to pee and I saw lizard on my bed...(the things we see from living in a bungalow where you leave the doors open) except this one came from on opening in the window net. I left the room and used the visitors toilet.

I finished and cleaned up the kitchen by after 4 and took a shower and off to evening Fellowship. I came back so tired that I went off to bed as soon as I served my dad his dinner and ate mine.

My dad killed the lizard later when we came home in the evening after Fellowship.

Wednesday 16th November.

I love Wednesdays. Its the day we get to eat jellof rice every week. After devotion, I took my breakfast and off to a morning nap.  Seems I have been doing that a lot this week.

zobo drink
By mid-day, I went about picking moringa leaf.  Then I put zobo on fire. The youth department seem to be doing something in church on Thursday and I wanted to contribute something. Zobo and peanuts for refreshment.

I made jellof rice and chicken.  Sorry, I forgot to snap that. And the day was over.

Today, Thursday 17th November.

I broke the cycle. After morning devotion, I took my breakfast and did not sleep afterwards.  I guess the morning was so hot and my body couldn't get to it.

Also for the fact that I had to start typing this post in the morning in order to have it ready by evening.

Then I saw this post on Facebook by Samburger, you can see it here too:
"GIVE IT TIME

When someone comes and tells you, I can't sleep without you, I love you the way you are and I can put up with your good and bad attitude. Before you commit your heart please,

GIVE IT TIME.

When You just met someone today and feel like marrying him/her tomorrow, before you do remember you need to

GIVE IT TIME.

When you visit your uncle and you will stay there for 2 months holiday, don't be carried away that they serve you your preferred food and give you hot water to bath during your first two days and you start making arrangement to relocate to their house,

GIVE IT TIME.

When a brother visits you and wakes you up by his shouting of prayer from 12 am to 6 am, please don't shut him down, first GIVE IT TIME.

When someone joins your fellowship in the first year and he is in every group/wing, please don't rush and make him a leader rather

GIVE IT TIME.

When you enter a new environment and everybody worships you and eat your mess don't be carried away just

GIVE IT TIME.
#Time

When someone comes with a new business with unbelievable promises, please before you involve your money, first

GIVE IT TIME.

When you see a new church in town and you hear their waves, before you conclude about how hot they are, first

GIVE IT TIME.

Finally, when you are in a cross road of decisions, you don't know what to do, ask the people or person involved to please

GIVE YOU TIME.

You can be good in giving people tests and trying out who they are. Some people know how to pass them all but the test of time they fail.

_Time tests Love and proves it._

_Time tests businesses and authenticates it._

_Time tests spirituality and reveals it._

Time, a good tester.

Don't say that NEPA in your area is now the best until you have

GIVEN IT TIME.

Your Uncle or Father told You that you are useless and worthless and can't amount to anything, just laugh it away and ask them to

GIVE YOU TIME.

Quote me...

Consistency with time is the true test of Efficiency.

Time is a TESTER.

Time is an AUTHENTICATOR.

Time is a REVEALER.

TIME IS STILL A MATTER.

Thanks for giving this long post TIME... A painful moment brings quietness & quietness gives inspiration for good thinking, when all is well you don't think of what next...
Just "Give It TIME"..."
This really inspired me. I need to give time to a lot of things in my life.

Then I washed my hair scalp.  I have not really gotten around to take a photo 📷 of my hairdo. I hope to see someone who can do that for me today.

Pedicure
PedicureThen I did some pedicure. And went to fellowship with the youths by 4pm. It was really awesome. We had the prayer and worship session, then the Bible study, the air-time game, pep talk on service and the moment of truth.

My name was picked for the moment of truth and I got to answer questions like, "What was the most embarrassing moment of your life?" "What would you like to change in the Church if it were up to you?" "What was your life ambition right from Secondary school and are you pursuing it now?" "Children are to exceed there parents in all things- would you give birth to children more than your Father did, if so or not so, what are your reasons?" and "Have you ever had a fall-out with your parents, if so, tell us the experience?"

Then we shared my peanut and zobo drink and went to #Crunchies were we had moi-moi and meat-pie and we all retired to our various houses.

I'm so exhausted and I have clean-up tomorrow. God help me.

See you again.

My mind retires for the day.

Evening and Morning came... my 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th day.
